The AI Elephant in the Room

Let me preface this by saying I don't have the answers; in fact, I honestly believe there isn't a "right" answer.

But I want to take a moment to explain my approach to the controversial, disruptive technology known as AI.

I want to make sure that you understand that this is my own personal position, based on the people in my life, my career, and my own feelings. And here's the thing - I'm not even comfortable with where I'm at on this. I don't know that there is a comfortable place to be when it comes to AI. And in all likelihood I'll change my mind - often - as this new landscape unfolds.

And rightly so.

How we, as IT professionals, understand and adopt this technology will determine not only our success in the near term, but the trajectory of our entire career overall. But the way you work with AI (and whether you want to or not, you WILL be working with AI) will greatly determine how your career unfolds.
